Description Well sense I covered the typical werewolf I’ll go a start discussing about the subgroups of werewolf-like creature mentioned earlier but please note that some of these creatures are similar to werewolves they may not have similar abilities like them or look fully like them either.

So anyway here is the first subtype, the Loup-Garou

Werewolves, like all other Therianthropes, have appeared all over the world with varying appearances from culture to culture including their behavior and weaknesses; linking them to the supernatural species but not all of these creatures are fully related to one another, some however are related more to other beings and creatures with some worse than others in terms of their nature. One such creature presented here is called the Loup-Garou, a creature from folklore which is said to take the form of a wolf-like beast at will. In folklore the Loup-Garou, also known in some areas as a Rugarou but not confusing with another being with the same name, is believed to haunt communities in France and certain parts of Canada where there lived French Communities. Commonly, the beast itself is said to resemble a human with the head of a dog or that of a wolf but with other varying descriptions. Accounts on the Loup-Garou vary from a wolf-like beast to something more like a headless figure to looking like other animals or simply being a witch. While the Loup-Garou is related to a werewolf, the beast that exists in Crossover, however, is quite different from the ones from lore but still sharing some of its traits from the actual lore.

In Crossover, the Loup-Garou is a person who practices foul black Magick. The person, normally a sorcerer, a Witch, or some other dark Magick user, would turn themselves into a wolf-like demon in order to reach havoc on people for whatever purpose they have be it for murder, plagues, theft, and other heinous crimes (this of course is very similar to the werewolves mentioned during the witch hunts, with some male witches are said to have sold their souls to the Devil in order to turn into wolves). These beasts are also capable of taking other animal forms too and are also capable causing all sorts of trouble to communities using their dark spells and rituals which they use to further their own selfish desires.

The Loup-Garou, as mention above, can vary in appearance but the most common form resembles a large sinister werewolf-like beast but with noticeable features that set it apart from other lycanthropes, for starters the fur. The fur of the Loup-Garou is normally black in color but other forms the Loup-Garou takes appears white, not unlike other werewolves whose fur color ranges from brown to red to black to all sorts of colors. Next the eyes, the eyes themselves are not like that of a wolf, instead it has glowing orbs of red or yellow with no pupils in sight giving off a very unsettling appearance. Finally the rest of the body which resembles a deformed wolf-like horror more than a human/wolf hybrid, such as the legs and feet which only has four toes and a due claw like and a wolf head but with no human features like the large cranium and chine. Instead it has a large muzzle and saber-tooth like fangs with long blade-like ears jutting out of its head.

Unlike the Loup-Garou mentioned in legend where if you pierce the beast with say a silver dagger or knife it will turn back into a human and not telling anyone without running the risk of turning into the beast yourself, the Loup-Garou in the Crossover universe can turn people into regular werewolves by simply placing a curse on them. But like the werewolves mentioned in fiction, silver is more than capable of reverting the beast back into a human it can permanently destroy the beast when hit in the heart or head due to its unholy nature.

And finally, unlike werewolves and other therianthropes who could be of any alignment, Loup-Garous are strictly evil in regards to their actions and willingness to harm others.

Note: Its quit possable that this beast is the one responsable for the Lyoko gang's transformation into werewolves in the first place.

Technically yes but I based it more on how werewolves were portrade during the numerous witch and werewolf trials; warlocks who sold their souls to the devil in exchanging for the ability to turn into werewolf-like monsters (even if the description at the top doesn't quit say that)

Ah, I was wonder if you were going to add more on werewolves. It makes perfect sense to extrapolate on werewolf sub-types, if the loup-garou can be considered one. I look forward to reading about the other sub-types.
