This is RIDICULOUSLY LATE (August 1st was like eight days ago, man), and it looks a bit like crap, but DUDE I FIT EIGHT PEOPLE INTO A PICTURE HAHAH I'M AWESOME. Also, PRETTY COLORS. Also... also I worked my ass off on this thing, like seven hours total. So dude.Anyways. August 1st was the NINTH anniversary of the events of Digimon Adventure. It's nice to have concrete dates like that. So these are the eight original Chosen Children all grown up. Hah. Taichi and Yamato would actually be my age now, that's kind of creepy. (Sora's about five months younger than I am, she's a February/March 1989 kid.) ...speaking of creepy, Iori would be in his third year of middle school now. Yes, that's a 02 thing, but it's still Adventure and it's still CREEPY.
When coloring their clothes, I tried to pick the colors from their Adventure outfits. Also I've incorporated several of the Crest in their outfits because I'm geeky like that.
Man, Takeru sure likes green.

I adore this piece! Every single one of them still has the charm that made them so memorable from the first series: Tai's still the leader, Matt's still the cool guy, Sora is still the calm one, Izzy's still the nerdy/genius one, Mimi is still her own woman, Jo is still nervous, TK is excitable as ever, and Kari is still the one holding back the darkness for everyone. It's like they say, "The more things change the more they stay the same. And I couldn't want anything more to remain as timeless as these eight heroes and their Digital Monster friends.

Our War Game was in the early spring of 2000, when Taichi, Yamato and Sora were just finished with the 5th grade. According to the Japanese cutoff date of April 1st, they'd all have to be 11 before March 31st, 2000. 2000 minus 11 is 1989. Simple.

Okay, look. The Japanese school year starts in April, and they have a very specific cutoff date of April 1st. A child has to be 6 years old before April 1st to be allowed to attend the 1st grade that year. For Taichi, Yamato and Sora's age group, they had to have been born between April 1st 1988 and March 31st 1989.
Our War Game takes place during spring break 2000. In Japan, spring break begins on the third week of March. Evidently, Sora's birthday was quite recently, so there's no doubt she was born in 1989. She's one of the younger kids in her year, that's all.

This picture is reallly very awesome. I almost forgot about that day too {thankfully the other people in the RP I'm in kindly reminded me ^_^;, even though my character wasn't exactly a part of it all}.
I do like you integrating their crests into their clothing though, Koushiro looks a bit weird without his laptop though, but I'm glad he left it behind for this picture ^_^.
I adore your drawing style for these guys and look forward to seeing more in the future ^_^.

Ah, Yamato. Used to be one of my favorite characters. I don't know a lot of people who don't like him, actually. Rightfully so, he's pretty awesome.

All of them look amazing as College students, though I do have one problem. I think that Tai-Rayana's rendition of College Taichi looks better. It's just him and fits with Create Cards "Digimon The College Years" very well.
