That's the soul and life of a drawing or painting.
Thanks for watching!

Aaaaah yes, Now thats a drawing!
Just out of curiousity of your workflow...do you now paint directly over this if you decide to take it further??
Thank-you very much for sharing you work and you knowledge.

There is no way that i could paint over this drawing.
The paint will never be compatible with the pencil.
Well, i mean if its just a pencil tracing like we all do before we paint of course the paint works on it but that kind of drawing, no way.
Also this drawing was done on acid free paper and my paintings are done on acid free rigid illustration board. But if i decide to do it in full color i might simply enlarge it and print it on a standard white paper
and from there make a carbon transfer on the illustration board.
Often the black & white drawings like that is an excellent way to understand the values and contrast, so when comes the time to do it in full
color you have better way of controlling the contrast versus lighting.
Nothing can replace the rendition of a full color painting but let me tell you this though, pencil drawings has always had a very special place in my heart. Reminds me when i was a kid drawing on the edge on the kitchen table. My drawings where ugly back then but man it was true happiness and satisfaction. Just something good about drawing with only one pencil.
Feels free and artistic. Actually i did this drawing with only one mechanical pencil 0.5 HB.
Anyway, i guess i should stop, you got me started here and i can't stop when comes art.
Cheers
Denis

You'd be surprise how fast it goes to do the grass.
I actually use an electric eraser to do it.
