What's your position on Nanotyrannus?

I think you might have messed up the sequence between Albertosaurus and Daspletosaurus. K should be Daspletosaurus and L should be Albertosaurus in my opinion...

Your T.rex skull is 1.46 m long in Pmx-QJ and 1.53Β m in Pmx-Occ. it matches wellΒ with HartmanΒ΄s reconstruction (1.451 and 1.52 m)Β

I think his skull is more than 1,5 meters long.

All i know is its inconclusive but the evidence leans toward Nanotyrannus being a teenage T-Rex

It's not inconclusive, and there's no evidence leans towards Nanotyrannus being a teenage T.rex.

terencethet-rex In reply to daisaspy [2013-12-14 20:33:06 +0000 UTC]

Well theres no evidence to say its a separate species

daisaspy In reply to terencethet-rex [2013-12-14 20:34:51 +0000 UTC]

Yes there is.

1. Skull. Look at it, different from any other juvenile T.rex found.

2. Montana's dueling dinosaurs indicates a animal about as large as 10 m, and seeing as the holotype for Nano was a juvy, it could well be an adult Nano.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

terencethet-rex In reply to daisaspy [2013-12-14 20:37:48 +0000 UTC]

But also the skull of Nano T. isn't fully developed. Scientists saw so many similarities between it and a teenage T-Rex

Oh silly me, I forget to mention the Montana Dueling Dinos fossil.

Oh wait, I did.

I also pointed out the holotype was a juvenile anyway, and there's barely any resemblance to juvy Rexes anyway.

Alright, I showed you Jane. She's a juvenile T.rex.

The skull of Jane and the one in Cleveland are practically the same

daisaspy In reply to terencethet-rex [2013-12-14 22:07:00 +0000 UTC]

Not really. They're both the same age, and Jane's fenestrae is larger, her skull slightly boxier too.

How can we be sure? The only dinosaur specimen we know of it's gender is B-rex, and she's only 10 years old.

terencethet-rex In reply to daisaspy [2013-12-14 22:15:51 +0000 UTC]

Maybe jane just grew bigger. The paradox being there coud be 2 men, both 40 years old. But one is 6 feet tall the other is 5 foot 8. The same couldve been true for Jane and the Cleveland skull

daisaspy In reply to terencethet-rex [2013-12-14 22:18:51 +0000 UTC]
