Then again... I could picture some villages having precautions, like having their 'village' be a collection of house boats and floating pathways to negate things like this. Not every village or town, but some of the more.... experienced(?) ones.

They can't exactly fight off the big guy, and he's nicer than a lot of giants, so some villages are probably fine with taking on some extra precautions to deal with him. He's the type who'd really love befriending little normal sized people too, he'd be treated like a big celebrity lol.

I've always loved the idea that in worlds like the one you have portrayed, there are villages allied with certain giants, maybe exchanging certain services for safety or being on good terms with said giant. I'd imagine fishing villages probably do treat him like a celebrity or maybe even god of the sea. I mean, to them he might as well be.

I see my giant guys as being generally treated like different gods in this AU, depending on their personalities of course. Greg protects some coastal villages from sea monsters and krakens, and he's the only giant who can soothe Sying's anger and keep villages relatively safe from him. So he'd definitely be seen as a benevolent god. He loves attention and being treated like a celebrity too, so he'd very much embrace his size :3 If he needs to eat up a few humans here and there to stay alive, then it's probably for the best

So either sacrificial offerings to him or else they turn a blind eye to him eating loved ones. I wonder how the others might be seen? Sying is something of a god of destruction and wrath, his brother seems more a proper knight....
