Description
This is my entry for the ArtOrder/Muddy Colors challenge - Eowyn and the Nazgul from The Lord of the Rings. It's such a great scene in the book, so I really enjoyed illustrating it!I could have spent so much more time on this, but I was busy with work and stuff until short before the deadline °-°;
If I'm lucky and get critique from the judges, I might just work on it a little more

Gorgeous! I think this style was a great idea in particular for this scene of the book/movie. I really like how you kept pretty much everything except Eowyn and the foreground muddied and blended. It seems to me that it doesn't appear to just serve to draw attention to her or enhance the mood and feel of what Tolkien was writing, but also draw attention to the juxtaposition of reality (humanity, mortality, the grittiness of battle, etc.) and surreality (supernatural, immortality, the ephemeral, etc.) when Eowyn meets the Witch King. Anyway, I just personally enjoy art that evokes that. Great job! You are quite talented.

Very good, I'm still reading the hobbit, and DES was a fan of small series of films that have not even old enough to enter the cinema I went to see! remember seeing this scene and she is the one .. and maybe the best scene of the three movies! and you did it in a different way but even more wonderful! the colors used, the style of drawing contrasts with Eowyn nazgul to blend with the sky as dark behind the war seemed better than the movie! EPIC

you seem to have the comp values down; nothing is stagnant, and of course, being a fan of the book and movies, I love it

Studying artists you like is always good, but your time would be better spent learning from some of the old masters!
Thanks though
