Description
This is my entry for the ArtOrder/Muddy Colors challenge - Eowyn and the Nazgul from The Lord of the Rings. It's such a great scene in the book, so I really enjoyed illustrating it!I could have spent so much more time on this, but I was busy with work and stuff until short before the deadline Β°-Β°;
If I'm lucky and get critique from the judges, I might just work on it a little more

I like how you followed the book's description not Peter Jackson's rendition of the Witch King, even though the Jackson one looks BA yours is really cool and more accurate. You have a thumbs up from me

Love the (non) face of the witch king. ggg And the see-through wings - most others would have just painted the thing completely black or something.
Also love how some parts are out of focus (like the tail, the second claw, things like that). Nice effect, too. Looks like an oil painting in those parts. Did you use a special brush?
Anyways: Great colors, great composition, great mood.

Thanks! I think I used something with a texture there, but nothing too fancy. Probably an edited Photoshop default brush

Well, it's not the tools, it's the artist. Looking forward to more of your art in the future.

It is a shame that this scene was not in the movie. You did a wonderful job on this!

Those wings are amazing, did you use a custom brush for them?

I think I used a scattering brush and then the smudge too. A bit of an experiment
