Description
This is my entry for the ArtOrder/Muddy Colors challenge - Eowyn and the Nazgul from The Lord of the Rings. It's such a great scene in the book, so I really enjoyed illustrating it!I could have spent so much more time on this, but I was busy with work and stuff until short before the deadline °-°;
If I'm lucky and get critique from the judges, I might just work on it a little more

Wow, I love this! Eowyn is one of my favorite characters from both the books and the movies. The composition works really well, like how Eowyn is facing the fallen king but looking over her shoulder at the approaching Nazgul. It looks really good.

the color pallet and composition caught my eye here. The colors are very like Frank Frazetta, and the composition reminds me of my artistic idol, the late Kieth Parkinson,

Very powerful scene from the books, and love this depiction of it. Particularly like your concept for the Nazgul king. Beautiful piece!

This is the best Eowyn picture I've seen yet. Lots of drama, great composition (the strong diagonal from the headless king to Eowyn's startled face is very well done) and great use of "mud" - sometimes "muddy" pics can get too dark but you handled the balance between dark and light tones perfectly. Faved!

Out of the many many pictures of Eowyn and the Nazgul I've seen, I think this is one of the better ones! I really like the color, and the movement and the beast! It looks fearesome and realistic enough but without looking too much like a cartoony dinosaur. The kind of misty element to this adds a lot of depth to this.

beautiful, you can feel the motion in this, I'm staring at it and expecting it to move, haha. (: The colors, the lighting, everything is just beautiful and incredible.
