modern retro fighter conceptmade with freehand mx using pathtool, some gradients (cockpit) and color mixtures... worktime around 7 hrs.

Very nice concept and execution! To me, it seems like this design combines the style of a WW2 era American fat-body fighter (like the Hellcat [link] or Buffalo [link] ) with the engine of a Sabre [link] or MIG15 [link]
What makes the plane look futuristic is the ultra short tail-end and the lack of a tail wing. The detail is very good and eye-catching, sometimes pointing to the future (bombs) and sometimes to the past (light on the wing). Excellent combinations, and what's especially good is that the plane still looks like it could fly.

I think you catched the main idea i had when i did the job. Combining ww2 and modern/future elements. As you can see it's working electrical, the power amp is on the side above the wing
My thoughts were that the plane pulls air through the front intake, and pushs it out through the wing turbines.... not exactly like a sabre, but kind of

meh, thought about a tail wing too, but i wanted to keep it kind of different. So i went with that version. Would look nice, but would make it too much look like an old plane. thanks for your feedback

very nice concept. the shadow is great and also the very subtle details you^ve put in, for insctande the reflextions on the front window. Just great.
