Description
Probably one of the first franchises I actually went completely nuts for was TMNT. I know the cool thing to do would be to pay homage to the original Eastman and Laird vision, but let's face it, 99% of us who first saw TMNT as kids fell in love with the cartoon, which, in turn, introduced us to the wonderful world of independent comics. So that's why I drew the multi-colored headbands, and (from what I've heard) Eastman and Lairds much-despised Bebop and Rocksteady.*EDIT* By the way, the pizza slice is Peanut Butter Marshmallow...duh!

haha! These are soooo cool man! Yeah, i was a HUGE fan of these turtles as a kid and all the dicks in my class who were too cool for school used to give me shit for it. Now I draw comics and they are most likely working at the rubbish tip. Life is good

Hell yes! I mean, don't get me wrong, once I was introduced to the Eastman and Laird version I went nuts for it, I mean, reading comics with killing and blood and swears in it as a fifth grader was a revelation. But I never stopped loving the cartoon...even when I was too old for it. Heh. I was lucky not to get too much shit for being a dork cause my best friend was one of the more popular kids in school. Yay for high school "mafia" protection!

While I did originally come across the turtles in b&w comics before the cartoon ever came out...these are too adorable not to like.
Great take!

Seen the Ninja Turtles Forever TV movie? It had the early cartoon version crossover with the recent cartoon version crossover with the original comic version. weird.

Yes, it was pretty awesome! Of course I have a huge boner for TMNT, so it's pretty much infallible.
