Okay, I like where this rifle has gone. Now to start, I am sorry this took a while. Balancing DA/Artstation, school, and work was a big hassle and this spring break gave me what I needed to complete it. So I will post the final version on my page soon but it is already up on the winner-of-the-contest's page. Thank you all for sticking with me in this extremely slow progress. Now to the rifle.This rifle is a ballistic bullpup rifle with an integrated suppressor. The suppressor on it right now is a long nosed suppressor while it can have a shorter stubby suppressor. This rifle is ambidextrous but you will need to disassemble it to change out the ejector and extractors plus swap the cover plates which are internally mounted. The camo chosen was a form of the Kryptek camouflage (I believe). The entire build was centered around being plausible and houses its own custom cartridges for firing. For this image the rifle was broken down into the big 3 stages, the silhouette, the base design, and the camo and accents.

Very cool. Love to see people taking the time to make sure the weapon functions. I won't harp on the trigger mech, because those are a pain in the ass and a half.

I agree the trigger system is a pain. Probably will be easier when it's 3D modeled but I've been trying to redo my workflow to where my weapons look cool and plausible. It may take longer but the end result will be more satisfying. Also, glad you like it!

Only recommendation I have is to abstract the trigger group a bit. Because triggers are an iffy subject until you learn a lot of the subtleties of them.
Though, a fun way to learn said subtleties is to mess with Algodoo for 2D physics simulation to see how they'll interact.
But all again, this is great to see. So many artists forget to make their art actually work. Seeing good artists put in the effort to understand their designs is wonderful.

Yeah, the trigger group isn't complete right now but they are absolutely iffy. As is this one would be more of a creepish type of trigger pull. Still have to figure out where the best spot for a mag release would be. Ill have to look at that Algodoo thing, sounds fun. Really thankful for your input!

Glad you're interested in it and yeah the big cylinder after the gas block is the integrated suppressor which has a cutaway view when it's all done.

And the design of the gun just came out from Ghost In the Shell,note that magazine which is SIMILAR to the Seburo LMG!
I like the idea of a integrated suppressor,and the rails on top make it ready for putting on iron sights or any kind of optics on

I'm told that alot of my stuff would fit in the Ghost in the Shell universe but I haven't seen Ghost in the Shell at all. Movies, shows, or read anything.

well,try reading like literally all of it (the frickin manga) and all of the animated movies
from the 1995 film to Innocence (animated film),Stand Alone Complex (season 1 and 2),and Arise so you won't get spoiled on any plot hole or any of the characters

I actually made a personal decision not to watch any of it until my story was completely finished so I wouldn't subconsciously borrow from it haha.
