How cool, my minds having a hard time deciding weather shes moving or not and if the funky hair is dueto the movemnt or jsut allot of gravity defying gel. Awesome pic.

Great dynamic picture! But I'd actually see it with a slower shutter speed, I think a bit of motion blur in the hair and the tie would make it look even more dynamic
The lighting looks really good. I really like the way some light have leaked onto the tie! And the background + vignetting fits the rest of the framing well.
So all in all, it's a really a job well done!

Thanks!
Slower shutter would've looked ugly, i think, as i lit the pic with a flash, which only lights up for about 1/10000s, so the rest of her motion would be lit by ambient, if at all.
Thanks again!

I've used flash+ambient several times when working in studio, and it's actually not all that bad (: But you're not the first one who've disagreed with me on that subject so it seems that I'm pretty alone when it comes to working with slow shutters, flashes and mixed lights

Problem with the ambient in my studio is, that it comes from an entirely different direction than the flash, has a different quality in terms of apparent light-size and colourbalance, so i would've had mixed light instead of the desired one light setup.
Also i really like how it looks frozen and clear instead of motionblurred. ^^

Ah, that kinda explains a lot ^_^ I usually use the flash's own setup light or a 1000w lamp thing which they use at construction sites to mix it all up, of course the colorbalance is a bit different, but theres nothing a bit of photoshopping can't fix ^_^ But I do see your point in keeping it frozen aswell, so lets just agree on that its great as it is ;D?

That makes sense, i guess, but i usually go for the speedlights, if i don't have to use the studio-strobes, as they're lighter and easier to set up and don't need any annoying power cords or outlets, so i normally don't have any setup lights.
Hahaha, i'm totally alright with liking it as it is. Soo, yeah, thank you again. ^^

So clear, it looks as if she were standing still as opposed to moving.

Thank you! ^^
The lighting on this series is soo simple and yet, judging from the feedback, it seems to please.
