Castoroides, or giant beaver, is a genus of enormous beavers. C. dilophidus and its northern sister species Castoroides ohioensis are the largest beavers to exist in the Galaxy.

These Animals are huge as their average height is 6.2 ft, and they can weigh about 40 to 70 pounds.

The hind feet of the giant beaver are much larger than in smaller beavers, while the hind legs are shorter.

The tail is longer and is not paddle-shaped as in smaller beavers, although it can swim efficiently due to its larger webbed hind feet.

The skull structure of the giant beaver allows it to participate in extended underwater activity, thanks to its ability to take in more oxygen to its lungs.

Castoroides are best-known for being a lumberjack meaning they can cut down trees but they are not able to build dams.

Predators they prey on Castoroides range from the Short Faced Bear, Deinosuchus and Human Hunters for their hide and meat.
