Yaay another Gordy drawing again.
Long since i havent posted anything..umm.. "serious" artworks. lol
Btw does anyone still remembers the framed picture in opposing force? the employee of the month.
That pic was soo bad i was blinded for a short second.
Anyway...This is how i imagine him working in day and night shift. He's getting (or..already) a little crazy. lol
This drawing is very best i can do with an optical mouse.
(I cant seem to advance from this point...this sucks.)

time is of no importance when it comes to art... theres nothing wrong with the fact this took so long...
i personally hate people who pride themselves on the speed at which they work... god like why do they even have to be all "oh and this only took me 30 mins" feck who cares you egotistic pricks!

its so full of life and personality... heck even the most perfect realism styes fail to capture that, you my friend have grasped that perfectly

In my comics and fan art, Gordy got a lovely personality. This is how i imagine him. However if hes really exhausted and tired, he becomes cynic or lazy. After all he's far from perfect, and he is only a human.

and thats why gordon is so appealing as a video game character. average joes are great. Valve really broke all cliches with him. i love how Valve -although they dismiss he has an explicit personality- hint towards Gordon's personality through the actions and words of others. like alyx's comment about gordy and barney's vent crawling competitions.
even though gordon's personality isn't really that obvious in game, he's got the most convincing personality out of most video game characters... I'm sorry all you master-chief & doom-guy clones and cocky self-aware "super"heroes... you just don't come close. YOU ARE ALL SO CLICHE

The character "emptyness" is good and bad at the same time.
Good, because the fans (insluding myself) can fill up this space with custom-fan-made personality, in my case i made Gordy a rather silly and absurd but very lovable personality.
The bad thing is, we dont know his "official" personality for sure. This is why i decided to make my comics. I WANTED to fill up this empty space whats used to be Gordon's personality. In my comics, Gordy is NOT the typical superhero. I hate those. Those are emotionless flat characters. I CANT stand those.. yuck.

I just started replaying Opposing Forces. I saw that picture and laughed for a good long hour.
I'd almost imagine working in such tight quarters for extended periods of time would drive anyone up the wall.

I'm currently in Japanese 1, so I etch Gordon's name EVERYWHERE in my workbook. My sensei asks if that's my boyfriend's name. I tell her it's a guy my best friend is MADLY in love with.
