This is really great. I love how you left it simple. A lot of other backrounds have too much so that the colors don't have as much as an effect as they could have. In this case less is more.

oh that pen tool thing. then very nice use of the pen tool, it looks lovely. I especially like the 'ribbon' looking parts that have the hard edges but fade out, they're all shiny.

And would you maybe be up for doing something like a wallpaper pack where you could release them in various colours - just tweaking the hue in PS? I think that would be awesome for like Windows 7 that does the desktop slideshow. Just going between the different colours.
