So... I should apologize for my long absence, but I don't think that really makes up for the time I've wasted or wasn't around. I am a bit internally tormented now... I am torn between a comfortable present and the future that I want. I am trying really hard to be brave, but I am not always living up to the challenge. So I'm sorry if I didn't try as hard to make pretty drawings for everyone to enjoy. I will try to get back on track.Related content

Your paintings are lovely. I don't have time for a full critique, but they are very nicely rendered and make the food look delicious as well as well designed. Especially the hazelnuts and the blueberries in this image.
When I had that internal torment, I picked the future I wanted. I do not regret it at all even though it has been a struggle in some ways. I hope whatever you do you have peace with it.

Thank you for the advice. The biggest issue I have is that I am not sure what I want. If I were, I would have jumped the cliff a long time ago and went with it. And I have no good recipe for how to make the best decisions.

You should never apologize for taking a break if you need it!! I hope you feel better soon, I understand feeling torn, especially regarding a career or job. I'm happy to see you again, but know that you should always take a break if you're suffering mentally or physically <3

Oh, thanks for the encouragement. It's a long story behind this break and the thing is... drawing tore me out of depressive states multiple times, but when I am depressed I find it hard to move towards the drawing board and actually do it... despite the fact that I know I will feel better afterwards.

Personally, I think you should try to do what you want for your future because it can worth it and, as the saying goes, never give up on your dreams.
