Thanks. THose are my favorites, too. I'm glad I live near creeks, ponds, a river and a lake. Now, if I only had the ocean nearby! But I'm happy knowing that I can visit these places and enjoy nature. With photos, other people can enjoy them, too.

Thank you very much. We are getting some killer colors around here! I went to a lake today, and got some really pretty "picture postcard" type shots...blue sky, blue lake, red, orange, & yellow trees. Really neat stuff!

another very soft beautifully blended and contrasted. Nature still holds the most splender.

Thank you. I have to give most of the credit to nature. This time of year, the show is just spectacular! I went out to a lake today, and talk about vivid colors! It was eyepoppingly beautiful!

Oh how serene and beautiful! Such a wonderful shot! I've always had a particular affinity for creeks, streams and rivers.....I grew up playing around/in one....it was a wondeful way to grow up! Thanks for sharing this gorgeous photo!

Thank you, Anita. I grew up around creeks, too. We used to wade in them and catch tiny crayfish; we would follow them to see how far we could go, and where the creek would end up. Those were such fun and carefree days! The creek behind my parents' house was fun to wade in 50 years ago, but awhile back, I visited that creek to have another look. I was stunned at what a deep channel it had dug into the ground! It looked to be about 10 feet deep...not at all designed for waders of any size.
Glad you enjoyed this pic!

Thank you. This is the time of year that the creek starts looking really good. During summer, the water gets a bit murky looking, but now, it's starting to clear up.
I used to live near Boston, MA, when I was a wee child, and spent summers there as I got older. I can't tell you how much I love New England. I still miss it terribly! My last living Aunt lives in Groveland, MA, somewhat near the NH border; a cousin lives in Harrison, ME. I've got to go up that way again soon, because no one's getting any younger in my family! But I think of how very beautiful the lakes, ponds, and streams were in MA and NH when I was young. And oh, do I miss the beaches! I loved Plum Island beach for its wildness, and Salisbury Beach for the rides and fun. And did I mention how much I loved to go deep sea fishing? And eat lobster rolls?
I'm sure you know all about those wonderful treats! Oh, I'm so homesick. Lived here in VA since 1948, and still call Massachusetts "home."

Thank you. This old creek can really look good at certain times of the year. Now is one of those times! Winter, with snow on the ground, makes it very picturesque, too. I love hanging around this area....there's so much beauty there!

It's very pretty here, especially this time of year. When snow is on the ground, it's just like a Christmas card!
