I think the blurred background symbolizes that he can't see clearly, his vision is clouded with jealousy which causes him to do bad things. Hans was never a villain, just a lost and misunderstood boy

Everyone thought that about Maleficent, too. We only sympathized with her after the 2014 film. We can sympathize with Maleficent and Elsa because we know their stories. Hans is only a sociopath until you outside the box as we have little knowledge of his story. Someone would have to be pretty arrogant to think that Hans was evil for no apparent reason...

That's what they say. It's just a Disney Film Created by....well...Disney. It's their story so whatever they think, we usually believe them since they made the movie themselves. But just because Disney didn't mention or create a backstory for Hans, doesn't mean he's what we think he is. Lots of people say he's a monster cuz he pretty fked up. But to be honest, Elsa's pretty fked up herself too. Hans probably had the same horrible childhood. It mentioned in the movie, a few of his brothers pretended he was invisible for 2 years. He was the youngest so he was probably mistreated by his family. Disney just didn't put that there yet.
