Hans Should have gotten a redemption story in frozen 2. He was a poorly written villain. If he wanted Else dead he should have been slower at stopping the soldier that was about to kill her with his crossbow.
The story could be that when Else casted everyone out of her ice castle he got possessed by something evil or his heart got frozen by Elsa by accident. Could be a Else andHans getting together story.

After nearly killing her sister, Princess Anna, Queen Elsa kills the prince for treason and messing with her sister's heart.

That's just what I gather from it.

I am so looking forward to 20 years when they start doing reboots for adults and this happens. Splendid rending of ice, and I love how the sword disappears into the snow, as it's become quite useless, hasn't it?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 0

Pellchinnn In reply to Markesahsh [2014-08-22 09:00:54 +0000 UTC]

Elsa is no coward, she have a strong and wise character and she knows better than to kill and harm. If anything, Hans is a coward, not being brave enough to reveal his true self and take on an honest battle against the royal sisters of Arendelle.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 2

Johnny12575 In reply to Pellchinnn [2014-10-01 20:11:46 +0000 UTC]

Um...you say that Hans should face Elsa one on one? No chance, not a single one. His tactic to attack her from behind while she was distracted, was mostly probably the cleverest option he had

πŸ‘: 1 ⏩: 1

Pellchinnn In reply to Johnny12575 [2014-10-02 06:53:17 +0000 UTC]

That's why I call him a coward, because he's not brave enough to actually defeat Elsa face-to-face.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Johnny12575 In reply to Pellchinnn [2014-10-02 08:18:32 +0000 UTC]

But...when you face someone who is a heck of stronger than you, and you have no chance to win...then you're not a coward. Instead, it's reasonable to act like this.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Pellchinnn In reply to Johnny12575 [2014-10-02 17:03:02 +0000 UTC]

Hans is still a coward, and a smart sociopath, the very definition of evil. For him, as a villain, it is indeed reasonable, but he's still a coward in my eyes.

WittsArt In reply to Pellchinnn [2014-08-29 19:22:18 +0000 UTC]

What I don't understand is why he risked himself against that snow golem thing, if he was just going to take the throne for himself anyway. He could have just dismissed the journey as too dangerous, and I doubt many people would have questioned it.

πŸ‘: 1 ⏩: 1

Pellchinnn In reply to WittsArt [2014-08-29 21:58:00 +0000 UTC]

First, survival instincts. Second, skills and plans. I think Hans wanted to make sure both sisters would not be in his way of taking over the throne, that means defeating Marshmallow and then go on to see how he can get rid off (kill) the sisters without having anybody suspect him of this type of treason. If he would have just left Elsa at the North Mountain that would have been a risk. He needed to know where the sisters are and when he gets the chance to take them out. He needed to be sure, otherwise his plan would not work. He also needed to stop the eternal winter, and thus he needed to first see if Elsa could remove it by herself by asking her, and if that wouldn't work, he'd just have to kill her. And Anna's "death by her sister's hand" would help him justify this act of killing Elsa.

I just love this character that I think is interesting. And this how the movie should have ended. With maybe his death or something like this. Something more class/cool/charismatic than this ridiculous scene in the film

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Pellchinnn In reply to Istriel [2014-08-22 09:03:28 +0000 UTC]

If the movie ended like this it would've been ruined. The movie ended perfectly, and nothing should change in these last sequences. Although I admit this is an interesting alternate twist.

Istriel In reply to Pellchinnn [2014-08-22 10:16:24 +0000 UTC]

Perfectly ended ? I'm not sure for Hans. Not with his death, it's may be too much, I agree, but the way he is arrested is like if the direction was infantilized Hans, with too much humour maybe. I know thatΒ  the movie is mainly for children but... It was making me feel...strange.
