I just found this post. I gotta say I like the game chess.

This would awesome if it was real but whenever I look at this my mind tries to figure out which piece each class is. All I guess so far is that the scouts are the pawns, the heavys are the kings, the pyros might be Knights, and the blu sniper could be a rook due to his position on the board. Or I could be overthinking all of this.

No if you look there is two pyros, one on each side. The Blu pyro has cosmetics and the sharpened volcano fragment, while the Red pyro has the stock flamethrower. Also, yes, the red sniper is dead.

Do you know there's a real-life TF2 chess? The chess pieces are just their heads though but it looks great.
But then, I'd choose this over that anytime.
