Description
I had this idea of drawing Telemonian Ajax with his brother Teucer the Archer.
Now, Ajax was "The Wall", "The Immovable", the biggest, mightiest, most puissant hero at the Battle of Troy, and his younger brother Teucer was the best archer on the Greek side.
One day, the two of them worked together as a unit. Ajax walked out into the middle of no-man's land in between the armies, and Teucer hid behind his shield. When they got close enough, Ajax would lift his shield, and his brother would shoot out from beneath it, sniping at Trojan heroes. Since Ajax was big enough to break a whole phalanx by himself, it worked pretty good and they killed a lot of Trojans.

This is what I came up with.
Ajax is a cross between period-correct Danaan/Mycenean and Classical greek. The helmet is correct (though the cheek-guards are dubious), but the cuirass is the newer (but very old) "bell cuirass". Because honestly, the dendra panoply, for all its historical coolness, is butt-ugly.
Teucer I drew as a Scythian. He's not really supposed to be -I don't think- but I didn't know any other way to draw a greek-looking archer. So he's got that funny fox-skin hat and the belt quiver and a pretty cool looking re-curve bow. To tell you the truth, I just drew him that way because I was horrified at the thought of drawing all that curly hair. ^__^
