Intoxicating and overwhelming... that urge to draw.Having never been a smoker, I've struggled to understand why someone would want to pick it up. While talking with an old friend who had started the habit again after quitting for a year, he explained it to me "It's like having you own window of time; a box which you know will be filled up only with this, nothing else, your mind can wander anywhere. You hold a small corner of the world to just yourself for those few minutes"
His words surprised me, that's just how I feel whilst drawing. It's my own little space I have to to myself, where I can let my mind wander, relieve my stress, and not worry about anything else. And believe me, if I am not able to do it I get grumpy! XD Like it's my addiction. I'd never thought of it that way before...
This is in no way an avocation of starting smoking though
The friend has since quit again and I'm very proud of him. I think my drawing addiction will be harder to kick, so I medicate with daily doses of doodling, and new sketchbook monthly, seems to do the trick 
Was having some serious urges after traveling so much I could fit barely any drawing in, can you believe it's been a month since I posted there?! Gosh, thanks for sticking around, you're great guys
So I drew this in remembrance for the month I gave up my addiction for Not too happy with the face, but I've got to get back into practice Peace, love and healthy addictions,

Well you just went and snuck this lil picture in from left field
On a personal note it is kinda weird how i was thinking the other day that can you be addicted to things such as hobbies. I was thinking i think i'm becoming addicted to music i listen to it in the shower, making food, driving in the car, just general chilling, Playing guitar, Walking anywhere, on the train, Boxing training and god i wish i could listen to music at work
anyway back to the artwork.......
The only bits i can comment on here are the hair and eyes. I feel you lose some of the definition i think you need to add the odd faint line behind the "smoke" to just so you can see it's hair cause it just sort of moulds into the back ground. The eyes i can't make a decision on which is a rare occasion for me XD they are pretty bright which is great cause it pierces through the smoke and draws you in i just can't decide on if they fit with the rest of the eye. I like the eyes just not sure on the edging around them.
The good bit yay! I think the face is good so not sure what you don't like about it but it's good
The eyebrows love the raised eyebrows it really adds to the emotion in the picture
I love the way you've got all the fancy sort of lacing coming from the eye and pencil making it look like smoke also the lacing is a really nice design!
It's all well drawn another good addition to your collection i think i may have to purchase thins one too!

I know how you feel, I started drawing cause I wanted to draw dragons and spaceships, but now I do it cause I'm addicted... and I haven't gotten in enough practice lately. :') I need to get back into practice too, I'm thinking of just setting myself a goal like "make a thousand drawings" so I can get that confidence going.

Since my computer broke down I haven't been able to post anything
But I have taken this time to stop drawing and start seeing art of others
And in a way I'm glad the my CPU broke of course speaking in the manner of taking a break
