Description
When the storm clouds gather and I know there'll be rain, I put my headphones on and let the music bloom, it's the only way to sooth these thorns.Hmm. Not happy with this really... Think I could have done better with the concept, along the way I just took a few too many wrong turns. I don't feel like it's properly finished, but I know if I work on it for another two hours I'll only make it worse XD
Still - thought I'd share, I have so many paintings sitting on my harddrive that no one but me will ever see, I didn't really want this to be another 
So please excuse the slight dodgy-ness. Learning everyday I kinda like how angry the rain looks though. Prints will be available...

OMG I just read this book called A Court Of Thorns and Roses (FOR ANYONE WHO WANTS TO READ THIS BOOK SPOILER ALERT) and theres this scene where the main character, Feyra, feels like she isnt worthy or enough for Tamlin's (the male protagonist) love and she says something like
who wants someone who's covered in thorns?" later (spoiler) he says "i love you... thorns and all")
I know its meant to be about music but it remained me of her so much. (cool story, bro. i know XD)

I can relate to this to some-point. Some girls care so much with all their heart to a pure point, for example, the rose. However, every rose has its thorns being our problems, our pain and suffering reflecting outwards to keep others away due to fear... But in the end we want to, our best, rip those thorns off our bodies to let someone in to see who we truly are. In a way, this picture is kind of like the timeline of life.

I think this piece is beautiful, including the concept. I think its like she's a beautiful and kind-hearted rose but her thorns are all her problems which is the part she and other people don't like because the thorns hurt. She would be a much better person without those thorns but she's stuck with them and can't get rid of it. However, rain is known for washing away the past. She loves the rain because, even though it washes away her problems and the pain temporarily, it's the only thing that can soothe her thorns.
