Well, heh, they usually just make a mess and leave.... but, maybe this time...
Sophie's story. Her trust; like a little bud as it blooms, opening her petals, through the fragility and vulnerability, inviting someone to enjoy her colours.
Painted in Autodesk's Sketchbook Pro 7. Which was really fun to work with! Done for their challenge, of which I was the judge

I love the angle of her head and the lighting. Her hair to me looks like roots, which support the flowers in her hair. But this also kinda remind me of the slave trade because her hair also looks like whip wounds.. Idk that's a bit depressing so I think I prefer the root version (:

Ican'tevenohmigoshthisissoamazing! Clearly your best work of art so far! The colours work perfectly together and the compostion is well thoughtout! There is such movement in the piece that it takes my breath away, and yet there is a calmness about that is mesmerizing! Sophie is so beautiful! The way in which you have conveyed the emotion of vulnerability and strength is astounding. And she is so gentle as she carefully draws back her hair and allowing someone in to her life. All in all an outstanding piece of art!

Aw, I think this is definitely going to be one of my favourites. I love how she seems to be glowing inside, and it kind of reminds me of Little Roots drawing, since her hair kind of looks like the roots were protecting it. If anything, it looks like her roots have finally grown. Well, just a thought.
