I hope that you are trustworthy, I suppose I'll just have to trust you to find out... So here's my key. Open me up, Look inside, I just have to hope you will like what you find.If not, please put everything back where you found it.
Well, heh, they usually just make a mess and leave.... but, maybe this time...
Sophie's story. Her trust; like a little bud as it blooms, opening her petals, through the fragility and vulnerability, inviting someone to enjoy her colours.
Painted in Autodesk's Sketchbook Pro 7. Which was really fun to work with! Done for their challenge, of which I was the judge

what if the key is fake? or doesnt fit?

The way the hair changes into tree roots is hypnotic O-O

...I'd put everything back where I found it and close the lock again.
If everything beyond the lock makes her into who she is, if it is the very essence of her being... then I would put everything back exactly the way it was before. Because I'd love her for who she is.
And I wouldn't want any of the qualities, be it good or bad ones, to leave the person I love. It is the combination of all of her qualities that makes her into the person I love after all.
So locking them all inside of her would seem like the safest option. ^-^
So whether I like what I see on the inside or not, leaving everything as it was and closing the lock again seems like the best option :3

I understand your condition because I suffered for years with nothing but negativity in my mind. You don't need to feel alone because you're not the only one. Wow, I really love the way you put the colors together, the yellows and darker blues really contrast nicely, and I love her expression. I know that I can really relate to this painting and that, in a way, makes it even better for me. The detail you put into the key and the lock is also amazing. I used to use Sketchbook as well, and still do sometimes (the main reason I stopped was because the tablet I used stopped working well on that computer *sigh*) but I do really love that program... Of course I have never made something quite this good on it XD But the whole thing just looks so realistic and stylized at the same time, and the composition is amazing. I love the whole idea, as well, I said before I could really relate to it... Oh and now I'm repeating myself. I could say more, but I don't want this comment to be TOO long.

This is a gorgeous piece, and it's even more incredible that you did this in sketchbook. I use it for most of my artwork and it's sadly very frustrating to work with at times

Thanks, yeah, there was certainly a learning curve with Sketchbook, but actually it was great to be pushed into trying a new program. Some features I really loved - that perspective tool is going to be really useful! But I did keep messing up and pressing the wrong keyboard shortcuts for tools which are mapped to different things in SB XD
