A few little color composition things I did for a class. I would really appreciate some critique! On any individual one or on my color as a whole, since I'm not all that confident and the more I look at these the dumber they get :/ RIP ME APART, GUYS...Also, want to know something SUPER EMBARRASSING??? The ones on the left side are 4x2in, the ones on the right are not SOB QAQ oohoohoo

I think you definitely get the gist of what he's trying to get across in these exercises, I would suggest considering the color of your light. In all of these cases except 2, 5 & 8 you're using a pretty neutral, general "oudoor" light color. In 2, you knew you wanted complementary light but the color looks pasted on instead of how an orange light would actually shine onto a blue or green object.
Does that make sense? Anyway, I really LOVE the bottom two. the left one is super gorgeous. Like Nick said, not the most depth, but the colors are super-duper.

I think your most successful ones are 5, 6 and 8- they have a sense of atmosphere and depth that is missing from the others. I'd say that has to do with palettes being limited and controlled, while in some of the others it gets a little wild- I think it's not the variety of colors you need to control, but the structure of them. I'm not getting as clear a sense of mood and emphasis as I am in the three I mentioned.
