Very nice. It is something to be proud of. Be careful because once you start making things your wife will make a list a mile long (trust me I'm there already).

Thank you for the kind words! You are a programmer too? What is your favorite language. Mine are C/C++ and PERL.

My favorite ones are C++/vb/vba/php. I do a lot of database programing for customer web interfaces using php and mySQL.

I have tons of experience with PHP, mySQL, and SQLite as well. Did you know that Facebook has 4000 instances of mySQL running just to handle all the transactions?

It does look nice for a first project, it reminds me of when I built my first project my entertainment center which is on here, but just keep with it, if you need to learn something research how to do it, and just practice before you build something using a new technique, but keep this photo and the project, learn from all your mistakes, and raise the bar every time, and before long you will have a lot of projects that will make you really proud of what you can do.

Thank you for your kind words. I am a Computer Science major, but I am really coming to love Woodworking. The next project I want to make is two small tables that I can put my table saw in between so I can cut longer pieces of wood. A workbench will also be a necessary and immediate need too. Especially once I can afford my mitre saw.

here is a good resource to look into different woodworking projects, www.lumberjocks.com this link here takes you to the website I read every day, and there are thousands upon thousands of projects which you can search by different tags to find things that are like what you want to do, and most people there will post descriptions of how they made them, or what you can do to make them, and don't forget to read the comments on each one.
