Description
Recently was reading about the hydrophobicity of roses, so they have been on my mind! I do love learning about the strange patterns of nature and how they make effects we take for granted possible.I felt like I hadn't drawn anything in a long while, and needed to get active again. One of my biggest setbacks animating is always thinking of something to do: why animate if nothing's moving, after all? So here is a rose in the rain. It's amateurish and shows off how little I know about water, but it also follows through.
Trying to construct animations a little bit more as if I'd planned them, though. So I drew the rose and the background on one panel (if I'd been smart I'd have separated them, as if I was going to color them), the background rain on its own set of frames, and then the central drop and puddle on a set of frames as well. Turned out to be a lot easier to animate this way.
