I appreciate that you're looking to tell a story, and to convey a situation. It's excellently done. The higher character has the aspect of a guardian angel and there's quite the contrast between her and the characters on the ground.

He's performing the Battle Meditation - it's some sort of an actual mental support, motivating one side, and discouraging the other.
