Description
Bagoas the dance master, winner of a few competitions in dancing. The stormy, outspoken character of the boy matched his stunning looks and the friendship and love which grew between him and the warrior king (Alexander) lasted the rest of their lives.
In the picture, Bagoas dances in Alexander's army, which consisted of Greeks, Macedonians and Persians. On the throne is Alexander the Great. On the right the blonde is Oxathres, brother of Darius III, who was described as a blue-eyed blonde. Clothing and armor were taken from historically accurate garments ancient Persians.
