Description
One of our very early original characters, whom we created when we were less than 10 years old.I decided to draw him exactly as we (esp. my sister) imagined him.
The god-like ruler from another planet (and even another galaxy), we called him pharaoh Ra. He has young beauty, great wealth and he rules the whole planet, where a highly developed humanoid race dwells. Their culture is high-tech and similar to the fantasy version of ancient Egypt. Pharaoh Ra has a great solar power, by nature he is kind and merciful, but behaves proudly, and sometimes arrogantly.
Later we saw the movie Stargate, where there was also a Ra character. But as you can see, they are not alike.
Some facts about lotus flower as a symbol of sun and god Ra.Β
"The Lotus is used as a symbol in ancient Egyptian art representing the sun, of creation, rebirth and was a symbol of Upper Egypt. As a symbol of the sun it is closely associated with Atum-Ra, the Sun god and later with Nefertum, lotus god of perfume. Β Lotus flowers, also called water lilies, open in the morning and close again at night symbolizing rebirth and regeneration. " -- From encyclopedia.

Ra looks like a woman to me. I know he's man, not a woman, but he looks like that because of his face, body, hair, pushed boobs, etc. But anyways, looks amazing!

Ten years old and you already created OC's. Outstanding....
I started creating my own characters around twelve years old. They were basically from Creative Writing essays I had to do for school homework, but for me that was more pleasure than work because I always loved to create characters and stories... I didn't develop these characters too well, but I remember my stories with love. And people who read them, like parents and teachers, like these too.
Keep it up! An artist is made from childhood as I see in your case...

Lotus flowers are also deeply associated to purity and perfection in Hinduism and Buddhism!
Deities Vishnu and Lakshmi, presented as the ideal couple, are both represented holding lotuses. Radha was born from a blooming lotus... When Buddha gave his first steps as a baby, lotuses bloomed where his foot step on, as a symbol of a birth of an enlightened being...
Lotus flowers grow from mud, but remain pure and clean, like hope amidst the doom.
You certainly know all of this since you are very familiar with India
It's amazing how your art and description stimulate people's minds and soul....
Sorry for writing too much!
But I didn't know lotus was one of Ra's symbol... I knew about sun, circle and the obelisks as representation of the power of sun rays.
