This is another pic that I didn't finish during Animethon. My excuse this time is that I actually redrew this picture because I wasn't happy with it at all. And in a spontaneous moment, I offered to do this pic in CG because I felt bad not being able to finish in time. It took me a while ... and then of course I randomly decided to give him a gazillion firecrackers. So I wimped out and didn't shade them because it would have taken forever. >_> <_<This character is an original creation from two people I met at the con. Unfortunately, I don't remember his name ... and I didn't get his color palette ... and I redesigned his costume ... and I might have made him crazier than they intended, but it was a whole lot of fun to draw!! XD
Basically he's a character in their comic (I thought I'd be able to remember the name of it ... but I talked to so many people that day ... I forget it!!). It's a comic held in the modern world, with elements of fantasy thrown in. The reference pic that I was given had him in a wizard's costume, so I figured I'd do something similar. They also described him as being a bit loopy - someone who might light things on fire or do silly things like that on a whim. So I decided to give him some Japanese firecrackers to play with. BAD IDEA. After he managed to light them, he realized he was all tangled.
I hope he's got a resurrection spell memorized...

Ok Yes Kawsoneta was a randomly generated name. But as for Anron though its a actual name. there have been a couple writers (Japanese writers) With the name.

Definitely better late than never. Thanks for the comment! I'd love to do another pictures for you guys ... unfortunately I most likely won't be in town for Animethon 14, but I don't mind doing the whole snail mail thing if you don't mind commissions ^_^ Not exactly the same thing as watching me draw, but you still get a pretty pic at the end of the day. I draw better when people aren't staring at me anyway XD

Oh yeah, this is the first one, eh? I should have given you the colours sooner. I'm sorry to have made you work even longer on it. I'm surprized after that great con you even remembered that much about us and my story. That character's name is Anron Kadvesh Kawsoneta (we probably just said Anron though). FrostBite was the name of the story he belongs to (though it's not quite a comic yet, but I'm hoping it will later when time permits). Our names were (and still are I guess) James and Mike.
I sent the pic to Mike and he was thilled!
I don't think Anron knows how to cast resurrect, but his dad can fix him up(and has before... multiple times.

That's a funky name. What's the origin of Kadvesh? It definitely isn't Japanese. Nor is Anron ... I don't think. I hope you guys find the time to make a comic. I'd like to see what sort of trouble Anron and company get themselves into.

The origin of Kadvesh? Umm... No idea, though it was likely a bunch of random letters that sounded good. I'll ask him though, but I'm not sure if he has internet handy right now. Anron is far from Japanese though (he's not even from earth). ^_^
As for trouble so far there was the near drowning in banana pudding, flying into the ground on a broom, "helping" people with detentions, and having the sudden urge to hug anything with wings (which some creatures really don't like) just to name a few.
Though it's not the same story, I do have a web-comic (which I really need to update) I made for practice before I do the comic for FrostBite, my pet project. I also need time to figure alot of things out as the FrostBite universe is quite large (well over 100 characters whether major or minor, 9 worlds, and enough content to make a series or more depending how many generations I put in). I really like FrostBite and want the best for it. Once I'm done CrystalTopia (my current comic), I'll work on FrostBite.

Sounds like you have your work cut out for you. Eww...drowning in banana pudding. I don't like banana pudding, what a horrible way to go. Hopefully your life gets less busy and you have time to make FrostBite as good as you want it to be.

It went very well. Unfortunately it took me about 90+ minutes to finish each piece, so even though I was drawing non stop, I only finished about 13 pieces. It was a whole lot of fun though.

Isn't it though? The first version just had him holding dynamite, but that was too obvious and Loony Toons. So I figured I'd give it a Japanese/Asian spin and make him more clumsy rather than just stupid and insane
