Modesty from Sass Studios has started an impromanga at our forum. Here's my character for the impromanga that I whipped up yesterday in between trying to work on my comic and the commission that I keep chipping away at. This character was a nice break because it's the first character in a long while that I've created just for the fun of it. It's not my usual character design or style, so it felt really freeing to draw her.Anyway, if you're interested in joining our impromanga, please check out this link!

We've got quite a handful of artists so far, so presumably the workload won't be huge. And anyone can join in at any time, regardless of art level etc etc. And if you'd like to peek around the rest of the forum while you're there, go ahead X>

Usually I don't like crossbows but a blue one is different.

I'm definitely not going to enjoy drawing the crossbow ... lot more complicated than the bow. I wanted to make it all pretty and glowy, hence the sheer blueness.

Garuda is one of the giant birds in our local legend, Hikayat Merong Mahawangsa

^_^ Thanks. Those are probably my favorite parts of the picture as well. Though those aren't really horns, just cloth wrapped over extremely gelled(sp?) hair. That way I can let her hair down when I want her to look all purdy and dainty looking, and I can put her hair up when I don't want to draw mounds of hair XD

Hopefully the impromanga will give me a chance to flex my muscles on different styles. Because it's going to be a collection of different styles anyway, I could practice different styles each time I contribute. It would be interesting to see what each character looks like in different styles.

Hopefully I can spiff up my comic writing skills too. I've only participated in one impromanga and it was definitely fun, but only two people participated and one of them was me 0_o. So I didn't get to see what someone would do after my contribution. So sad.

That kind of schedule is definitely fine XD And it's more fun too, cuz then a lot more twists can happen in the story before your turn, so it's not like you're setting up your character for your own story, if you know what I mean.

Nah...I'm going to Sacramento to visit my Uncle and Aunt. She has a PHD in flute performance...so she's a doctor!!!
