Yeah, same... I dust off my pencils only for giftart for people. Which means every time I need to re-train myself how to color WITHOUT a computer... Skin tones are a BEAST.

I know what you mean. Today I colored some skin tones at the convention and it turned all wierd and orange. I tried going over it with pink but that just made it worse. Fortunately I colored lightly enough that I could erase it and start over.

It was a lot of fun. I was drawing non stop, which was such a relief, I must admit. I was afraid there'd be grasshoppers playing the sad song of pity art ... the one where people just come to your table because they've noticed you've been sitting there for five hours with nothing to draw and instead you've eaten a whole box of Oreos to keep yourself occupied ... and thus your table is littered with Oreo crumbs rather than eraser shavings. Strangely enough, it's actually a jig. Albeit, a very sad sad jig.
On another random note, this weekend was so exhausting that I fell asleep three times in my car. Thankfully it was during rush hour and I was spending 20 minutes behind a long line of cars. So technically I wasn't really driving. Though it was still pretty scary cuz I was afraid I would fall asleep and suddenly release the brake. -_-;

Someday I'll make it to the same con you're at and I'll just camp out at your table and bug you. I'll even bring a sleeping bag. XD I dunno... Cons stopped being fun a while ago. If I could make it to one that has an artist I know, I think I'd be more interested.

And ... uh ... oh yeah, I really enjoyed the con because of the people I met and also because I got to take pictures of random people I thought looked cool ... without having to chase after them. Whenever they stopped at my table, I just asked if I could take their picture ^___^

I do love the (mostly) friendly spirit and cons. You can run around like an idiot taking pictures and attacking random cool-looking strangers, and almost none of them bite. I always pity the residents of the host city, though. "Annual invasion of the anime fans..."
I'm a Yank... ish. Compared to Canada, I'm a Yank. At my college I'm a Yank. I go a little north and folks look and me and say "You're from Virginia? You don't TALK like you're from Virginia," making me a failure of a southerner. At least I eat peanut butter.

Sometimes I wish I had an accent... ANY accent. I live in such a multicultural area that all the accents blurred together and cancelled out. I suppose the only accent I have is "American" as opposed to "Brit."

I don't think I have an accent. It would be nice to have a British accent. Over at the con I met someone I thought was Irish or from the Maritimes ... cuz I couldn't understand a word he was saying. Turns out he was just talking really fast and slurring all his words together. I was muchly confused.

Yeah, and at work on Thursday I met a woman with a REALLY cool British accent. She was also one of the first truly nice person I have met at work, too. I wonder if there's a correlation. XD

Oh, I'm a Canuck. Most British people tend to be unintentionally funny. They just have such a unique perspective/way of saying things. A lot of the British people I've met have been very assertive and are quite happy to express their opinion on everything. Plus I love British humor ... like Red Dwarf and Monty Python.
