Description This is a tutorial on how I draw the female body. It's just how the female body is drawn in my style along with some tips on how I deal with it. This is by no means the only way to draw female anatomy or the absolute correct way to draw it. I myself am still learning and correcting my anatomy skills. Thank you.

Female counterpart to the male reference I did. Not as lenghty as the male reference either.

Ugh I hate drawing boobs. I'd rather draw men.

Can I just say thank you so much for drawing this ref. Most female refs sport either an hourglass shaped woman with relatively large breasts, and they usually look like they weigh more than the men! I know people say it's better to have meat on your bones and curvy looks more fem, but honestly no one seems to give consideration that slender women are thing.

Even my own friends say my characters look too slim, or their breasts are too small, or their hips are too narrow and their butt isn't big enough. I can definitely draw an hourglass lady for sure, it's just that all the characters I have made have slender body types. I praise you for making this beautiful ref and that excites to see its similar to my own style and if Im ever having trouble a body, I will always look at your reference

hahaha, I have the opposite feel when drawing the muscles or pecs or hips of a guy... I'd rather just draw girls, with their nice curves XD Thank you for this. Also, do you usually draw with squares/boxes and rectangles rather than circles and ovals? Thanks again! Have a good day/week/month/year!!

Breasts don't look like that naturally but I assume that's your own artistic tweak. I'd say for someone still learning anatomy your grasp it pretty well! There are also different female body shapes which might be helpful in your understanding of the female body if you're interested.
I'd say a good way of manipulating the body into more various shapes is to tinker with shoulder to hip width. Generally women's hips are built wider then their shoulders (not always but most often at least). Average breasts usually fall a few inches above the elbow (this also varies depending on breast size). Something I've definitely noticed is that guys for some reason have a harder time at drawing women anatomically accurate. Vice verse for women who try to draw men.
Something that helps with hip to shoulder width and where the waist should 'pinch' in (slightly) is by drawing an X, the bottom part of the X being the widest part of the hip and the top of the X being the widest part of the shoulders. Using the X to frame the body outside of the X should give you a basic form of the Hour Glass body shape. This shape is actually the least common among women (I thing only 8% of women have it but I could be wrong). The most typical shapes are Pear: there the woman has wider his than shoulders and tend to be more bottom heavy, and Banana Shape: A stupid term for it but anyway, this shape is equal in hip and shoulder comparison but the waist does not come in as drastically, making it more straight figured. Hips and shoulders can be wide or narrow it's just the waist that only curves in slightly.
From there you can manipulate the sizing as you please. When drawing a woman from the side, the spine should slope outward a bit for the butt starting where the hips are in the front.

Anyway, hope this helps? Didn't mean to ramble!
