Description
My custom Transformers Ironhide figure. As soon as I saw him on the cartoon I knew I had to make him.
Based on the TF:A Ratchet figure I start by ripping him apart, well unscrewing everything that could be unscrewed. Removed the flip out magnet thingys.
Sanded back the 'war wound' and filled in the gaps in the arms.
Resculpted front roof.
Removed the head.
Sculpted a new head in wax.
Moulded the head in silicon.
Cast in resin and created a new balljount socket in filler.
A new custom paint job and hes done

I've always wanteed to ask this to someone who does this kind of thing...when taking everything apart, how do you deal with the svivel pins connecting to some of the joints...they look next to impossible to pull out. I'm just curious how that affects the painting part of it.

I didn't remove the swivel pinned parts...just unscrewed everything I could and then was very careful about painting the rest
