awww thanks so much for such a nice compliment!  I didnt use anything to smudge it because I realised that I didn't really like how it looked unless I spent AGES on it and kept shading and smudging and shading and smudging because even though it was quicker I thought it looked....dirty--? (I'm not even sure what I'm on about><) but I might use it again when I can be bothered ><. I just do the lighter shading with a 2H pencil and darker bits with 4B and extremely extremely light blending with my finger when I feel I need it. ^^

Hehe welcome True, it gets really dirty... my whole arm had lead >.< Ooooo I should try that, cus I used a 2B pencil for everything since I don't really know how to use what pencil for which part and all XD I will tryyyyy that with the drawing that I have put on hold for a looong time XD

i hate it when that happens! it takes my FOREVER to fix everything after i smear my arm across it xD and i just use the darkest pencil i can find for the dark parts of my drawings and the lightest for shading on faces ^^

Yeah.... and mine goes all over the table as well... and I have to clean that... Ohhhh, I shall do that And for hair it would be to vary them. And for the hair strands, do you draw lines? Like how we'd draw lines normally?

uuummm... yes-?? >< I just build the lines on top of each other until the shadowed bits of the hair get darker. wow.... that was a bad explaination ><
