The majority of Sonic fans (myself included) have rejected this focus tested abomination. You are clearly delusional, he is hideous, and no amount of focus-tested redesigns in response to the backlash will wash out the stain this monstrosity has heaped upon the world.

THis movie isn't just made for sonic fans it's made for everyone..
Sonic's weird eyes work decent in 2D but couldn't be made in photorealistic 3D
He has to be redesigned into a more realistic version to fit the medium..
Also they knew exactly what they were doing, they wanted the controversy, the design that you hate so mych was just there for the trailer, the movie is all done and finished already with the final design that they will claim they made to please you..
