Description
needless to say, when i stumbled across this guy hanging out on my milkweed plant today, i RAN to get my camerai shot with the slr and it came out nicely - but i HAD to use my super macro of the point and shoot to see what i could get - check him out!
this is one layer blend, soft light mode, about 60% opacity
nothing else, zero color play, a TAD level play on the dark side and that's it
i have an even closer one of his face that i'll post tomorrow but i swear to god if you hadn't seen this first you'd think it was fabricated
love all the detail on the milkweed too - and how he's like sooo green (again, only a TAD in level play and zero color play) and then like clear cellophane everywhere else with those black spiny things
man i had fun in the garden today
full view and check out his face and details
mary
super macro on the pentax for this one
(and no - he was not from that web posted earlier today, i found him on the milkweed)

Looks awesome in a creepy way. How large is this spider if I dare to ask?
I'm sure I'd be pretty careful around this one.

about the size of a half dollar total - maybe a bit more - the body alone - umm - a quarter maybe?

The contrast between the spider and its background is perfect . The sharpness and the softness.

I can't say anything new that others haven't said. It's a gorgeous gorgeous shot! Spiders are so interesting (when they're outside lol! ) Never would have thought this was real O_O I would have ran for my camera too! He looks radioactive.

Beautiful capture. Sorry that I cannot fave it, as my spider phobia kicks in. But this is too beautiful to pass up at least commenting on. You did a great job with the DoF and the lighting.
