(FULL VIEW ALWAYS TO SEE THEM)
this is the first image in another food series inspired by Play With Your Food.
i cook and am really entranced by photographing food b/c of all the colors, textures, shapes you get to play with - and it seems to invoke lots of human natural reaction whether its inciting taste from your visual or just making you view your next grocery store trip a bit more creatively
these beauties are gords - and you'll see in this series the many fantastic shapes i saw when choosing them from my farmer's market! i could have put eyes on these guys but in this particular image - i really liked how they looked "clean" like this - invoking the emotion from their shape.
technically this image helps me understand why learning my technical manually is imperative. i would like to have had more control over where it blurs and loses focus to avoid any PS work to sharpen - i did have to sharpen the top of the male Swan.
past images in my gallery where i also played with food in this vein:
the Cloves go on vacation [link]
Jazz Night at the Cube [link]
Outside the Ladies Room at the Cube [link]
and lots of other abstract food images or playing with chocolate, ice cream, pasta, etc.

Great shot, really like how it turned out! You might enjoy these shots taken by Edward Weston in 1929 and 30. [link]

This picture is amazing! I love how this manages to give a lot of character and life to inaimate objects. When I first saw this in #Photography-First 's newest deviations, I thought these were some sort of green ducks That's what the long 'necks' and little orange stems convey to me.

Great idea for a series And executed well. I love the personality you've given to the gourds. The colour pallette is really nice here too. The only thing I might have done is to keep some more detail in the blacks as I feel this is a more light-hearted piece and it gets a bit dark in places. Great work!
