How does one define love?

Is it waking up every morning and knowing
you actually have something to get out of bed for?

Or is it when suddenly everything in the world
that once seemed beautiful, now looks dull
and lifeless compared to them...

Is it watching them walk out the door, and
missing them as soon as they do, even though
you know you'll see them again tomorrow?

Or is it reliving that last moment with them
over and over, till it almost seems to be
repeating itself before your eyes...

Is it when you start confusing your own ideas
with theirs, because the voice you hear
inside your head is no longer yours?

Or is it when everything you do, you do
for them, because they're the only thing that
keeps you going through each day...

Is it waking up each night crying because
you're so scared of having that one person
taken away from you forever?

Or is it knowing you'd give up everything you'd
ever worked towards, if that's what it would
take to make them happy...

Is it when no matter how angry or hurt you are
all you have to do is look at that person
and all that anger fades away to nothing...

Or is it knowing that the only reason you're still
here today, is because you couldn't bear to cause
that one person so much pain...
