Description
Rose is inspired mainly by two things. The Silent Hill film, and the chick from the latest Expose book. [link]Initially she started as a sketchbook experiment. First I did the usual pencil/ink drawing, but after being annoyed by a few wonky bits, I decided to cover them up with masking tape, and draw over it. This led to some interesting effects. After tons of re-working I began to add a load of watercolors and grey washes to the page. This was all then scanned in and tweaked in Photoshop, with just a few highlights and the red added.
So my advice to anyone who gets bogged down in detail: F*ck it. Just make a mess and keep re-doing it till your happy. Is fun!

I'm not talking about the exact character, I'm talking about the design of the person being cut in half and using barbed-wire to control her minions and hold herself up.

I'll make it mostly original but of course I'll give thanks for an idea. I've done people hung up in barbed wire and have had them in pieces. I got in a lot of trouble for having a woman with barbed wire crushing her entire torso and face, her limbs are hanging elsewhere. But the school told me if they saw something that graphic again they'd disallow me to carry a drawing anymore ._.
