Softdawn is a rather calm and quiet cat. She is very respectful to others. She likes to be independent and not require any help from any other cat with the exception of the leader and deputy. Though she is quiet, she is very kind once you get through to her. She's very protective to her friends and family, especially to those she loves a lot. Softdawn is quite a grudge-holder and will hold for a while until the other cat has apologized for their actions. The she-cat is wise and intelligent, using both those to comfort other cats.

- She's a lot shorter than the average cat.
- Softdawn was bullied as a kit because of her small size.
- Softdawn and Settingsea actually had some sister problems going on through as apprentices, but soon patched things up.

Softpaw tucked her tail between her paws. "So Elkpaw, who's your mentor? Mine's is Darksong."

"Yeah I know. I haven't really gotten to know her, like at all, I've only talked to her once so far, but to tell you the truth she seems kind of strict....." He mumbled reluctantly. Elkpaw felt like he shouldn't be judging other cats by first impressions.

Softpaw hummed. "Well she was just appointed warrior, so I think she wants to be stricter in order to mentor you."

"yeah, I'm not mad at her or anything. If anything I'm glad I have a stricter mentor! I mean, I feel like if I have a stricter mentor it will inspire me further and push me harder so that I may be an even better warrior!" He mewed happily.

Softpaw let out a little chuckle. "With all that enthusiasm, you probably will..Have you thought of what your warrior name will be?"

Softpaw pondered for a moment. "I kinda want my warrior name to be Softwing or Softsong...but I'll be fine what Leafstar will give me.."I think Elkroot or maybe Elktree would fit you..."

"Hmmm, you seem like a Softsky, Softcloud, or maybe even Softdawn. Your fur is the color of the clouds at dawn, pale whitish cream with a tint of orange. I want a cool name like, Elkblaze, or Elkstorm , or Elkclaw!!!!" He laughed. "But none of those make sense...." "Maybe Elkleap would suffice?" She added.

Softpaw giggled. "All those names sound wonderful. I especially like Softdawn for mine...Dawn reminds me of my mother." At the end of her sentence, her voice sounded sad. "But I guess we'll have to train hard to get our warrior name won't we?"

"Are you ok?" He mewed, concerned. "Yes awe will...." He added nervously.

"Huh? I'm fine really.." She said almost like it was fake. "So let's become strong than and get our warrior names quick." Softpaw smiled softly.

"Yeah, lets!!! " Elkpaw mewed hastily. He wished he hadn't mentioned the name Softdawn. He didn't like hearing that almost artificial tone. It made him a bit sad and uneasy.

Softpaw sighed. "Let's go hunting," She smiled at Elkpaw. "I want to see what Blazefang taught you so far."

"Umm... Ok, but I haven't really been taught anything yet..." Elkpaw muttered blushing. "But I can try my best!" He added in a slightly louder tone.

"That's ok.." She walked towards the forest. "Just let your instincts guide you.."

The two apprentices arrived at a good spot in the forest. Softpaw turned her head to Elkpaw. "Ok, there's some prey hiding here. Like I said, let your instincts guide you."

"Ok..." Elkpaw gulped slightly. He sniffed the air and scented something oddly familiar, but filled with warmth and life. It was a mouse, a live one. "Let's do this!" He whispered to himself. He crouched down, and began creeping towards the smell, careful not to step on any leaves or twigs. After a while he could see the mouse. He jumped up from excitement but the mouse saw him and started scurrying away. "NO!" He screamed, chasing after the mouse. I think if I pounce now I can make it! He thought, so he did. He flew through the air for a while, before landing on a soft fury warm mass. It struggled beneath his paws, his heart pounding fast, he tipped down his head and bit down hard until he heard a crack. Shortly afterword his mouth was filled with a salty metallic taste. Blood. He had done it! He had caught his first mouse! Sure it wasn't the neatest kill, but he had still done it!

Softpaw watched Elkpaw catch his first mouse. "Good catch.." She praised. "A little messy, but you'll get the hang of it."

"Hehe, thanks!" He purred, prancing around victoriously.

Softpaw giggled when Elkpaw pranced. She turned her head towards a bird that didn't notice their presence yet. She quietly stalked towards it. The bird turned it's head towards her, but before it could fly away, Softpaw pounced catching it with her paws. Once she got the bird on the ground, she snapped it's neck. She picked up her bird. "Let's go put our catch in the fresh-kill pile."

"Whoah, ok!" Elkpaw said, very impressed at her effortless, but neat catch.
