Jeez, it's like you're in my head, as I'm actually trying to write an MLP fanfic that focuses on creature very similar to this (at least at a glance). Β I have to say, you've captured a level of poise and intensity that I can only hope to convey, but damn me if I'm not going to try. Β Awesome work!Β

Oh dear, this is beautiful...
And it strongly reminds me of the fanfiction "It's dangerous business, going out your door". Have you read it? Because the deers there really are very elvish^^
If not, you defenitly should.

I have to agree with you there!Β "It's Dangerous Business, Going out your Door", was an excellent, well rounded adventure story.Β The kind that could be an "actual" MLP FIM movie.

Oh my.. That's a very nice picture. I like this nature background, lights and shadows. And many details.
Also, a good idea about deers. I have my head canon about them too. And I also suppose they like elves, or druids. But I think they are more civilized, even have their own different races. And lives in their own country, overseas, that's why they don't appears in series. And what was in DHX... I try to nevermind it. )
Anyway, awesome work. )

Fluttershy just encountered a dire dear. Careful, that thing has a really high Challenge Rating. Don't bother rolling initiative. Just hightail out of there.

This picture is awesome in so many ways, to start I love the concept, and the way you did the stag so big with the mossy antlers, makes it look ancient and magical, awesome! I also love the lighting and the scenery, and lets not forget flutters cute gear! Great work!

Oh dear, this is a really nice picture and I love the idea of it a lot. Just my kinda thing.
However, if I may offer a criticism, Fluttershy sticks out like a swore thumb. The style, the details on her body, and the lighting on her don't mesh with the rest of the picture. The lighting on her is especially of this nature. For example, the inside of her hair facing her cheek is very bright despite the light coming from elsewhere so I'd imagine that the inside of the curtain of her mane would be darker except for the very outside lining of her hair which would be bright. Fluttershy looks almost slapped on.
Fluttershy herself though is really well drawn and proportioned, but her lighting and detail seems more befitting of an ambient glow than in a forest with the light coming from the direction that it is.
Everything else about it works really well I'd say. The smaller deer look cartoony but they mix into the surroundings flawlessly, the giant deer (stag?) looks realistic and unrealistic and is well detailed and it all blends into a mildly surreal image that is kind of breath-taking. It almost seems to have it's own narrative in a way.

Thanks for your input, its highly appreciated!
Yeah I kinda know she sticks out a bit, but probably main reason is in fact outlining which I tried to get rid of in later stages
Her mane is brighter just because the light shines through. Its just some hair not a solid wood I should've probably add some dropped shadow on her face

Fair enough, but, hair is opaque and not translucent. Especially with hair as thick as hers, I can see it blocking out some light and not being... resplendent all through-out. The outline thing makes a lot of sense I didn't even notice that!

For me, the reason Flutters sticks out like a sore thumb is more because she is the only element of this picture that is outlined. Nothing else has a black outline except her. She looks like she was taken out of a comic where the rest of the picture has a distinct painted appearance.
