Raven's hosting another contest over at her fanbased account and I've decided to try entering again. This would be my third try and I'm hoping its the charm this time.For this contest, Raven asked for people to create a page that would be premiering in her comic down the road. She gave us the script and the setting for the page and let us go nuts. I had the worst time with this page in the beginning as I kept redoing the set up for panels and characters to fit with the text. Raven made it very clear that the all the text HAD to be included in the page in some way and as it is dialogue that would need to be readable, it had to take up the majority of the page (I’m still miffed with how the Dialogue looks). And sense this is supposedly the last page in the chapter, I put the "End of Chapter four" thing a see Raven usually puts in, I hope she doesn't mind. Finally I settled with a setup and got to work. The line art was the worse as my tablet is being a stick in the mud in terms of sensitivity. The coloring wasn’t so bad but I was bit of a derp as I didn’t know that you could download the pages to get the color XD. Shading was a tad difficult but I think I nailed it along with the lighting. What I really had fun with was the backgrounds: a lot of artists here on DA hate doing bgs and or really struggle with them, but I on the other hand don’t. I really wanted my entry to stand out for my talent at making lovely backgrounds and I think I nailed that here.
Wish me luck guys, and feel free to point out any mistakes you see as they could help in the long run. I really want to place this time, I’d take third at this rate. And Raven, if there are any technical issues you see, give a holler and I’ll try and fix them.

The only thing I see that I don't like are the typos... But I know they were already there in Raven's original dialogue, and so I don't want to point them out... lest I go to the other entries and point them out there, too (and I don't want to do that and sound like a nag, lol).

Yeah, I really wanted to edit the text around so it flowed better but I am not allowed to. And yes, I don't want you getting in trouble with the other deviants out there.
Though I wouldn't mind, I can't say the same for the rest of them.

Well, I believe Raven said in the contest rules for people to not edit the text except to fix the typos, so I'm pretty sure you're allowed to edit that part, at least... But, I've only seen one person who entered, so far, who actually fixed the typos in their entree; everyone else had just left them the same. It kinda bugs me, but yeah, I don't want to go and correct all the entries, as I don't want to offend people. Plus, it's not really my business, anyway.

Huh. By that I thought she meant it be as close to her script and all grammar/spelling issues be fixed according to it. But you know what eves.

Nah... I believe she said "do not alter the text in any way other than to correct spelling/grammar issues", which to me, would mean you're allowed to fix the few words that are spelled wrong, if you so desire, but you're not allowed to actually change the wording of the text.

(BTW, sorry I haven't responded to your email yet. I got it and read it on my phone, but I'll need to save it and open it on my computer before I can edit it properly and send it back to you. I'll try to get to it soon, though; no later than this weekend, probably)

I think I'll leave as is as that's how Raven wrote it. Besides, its all dialogue: we don't tend to speak grammatically correct in real life.

No, no... I meant spelling mistakes, actually... for example, "lose" and "opportunity" are spelled wrong. I don't really see anything wrong with the grammar itself. ^^

Okay. ^^ Well, there's the two I already mentioned ("oppurtunity" and "loose" should be "opportunity" and "lose"), then there's the word "everything"; the "y" is missing.
