Entry forDear god...this is the end result to drawing in college every day for a couple of hours...I'm not overly pleased with it since I'm quite shy about drawing in front of people...so yeah, it looks pretty stiff and eww and did I mention drawing Mufasa is annoying as hell.
I'm not sure if anyone noticed, but I more or less vanished from here the day or so after my b'day, well blame my crappy internet for that one xP only time I got on was at college...
Yes, Taka is crying in the last panel, from what I can gather from where the comic is heading, I think Taka is lashing out from sadness concerning his feelings for Fina being turned down...
Seems quite popular to have Muffy crying during this, but tbh, I don't see a character like Mufasa showing a weakness in his "I'm here for you" authority mode. Something like the crying in front of a depressed friend is only going to make things worse for them mentally...thing.
But Taka, a character who's being brainwashed into thinking no one loves him would most likely end up crying when in his heart the words he's been told are coming true...and perhaps this is a moment for his final tears...since I'm guessing the birth of Scar is approaching >>
But anyway enough rambles...

I know it's been a long time since you uploaded this, but I still want to say the following to you:
1) Absolute congrats on winning the contest! 
2) It's a great page, that is some neat talent you got there
3) I love how you made Taka cry in the last panel, like Mufasa's words did reach the old Taka, but just too late 
4) Don't grudge yourself so much! You may be a bit shy, but there's no reason to be shy at all! Go and be the artist you are!

That is part of fanfiction. Canon wise- non is known. There are the books (Lion King Six New Adventures) that show Taka getting his scar from a water buffalo.Β

So this is the end of the story? Nicely done. I always find myself thinking about this story when watching the movies and how it adds so much more depth to Scar as a character.

A I love this page. This is something Taka needs to hear, but unfortunately I know he'll just go to Viccha and she warp it in his mind that Mufasa is lying and doesn't understand him. Aaaand now I get the feeling that she'll convince Taka to do the wildebeest thing to try to 'test' just how much Mufasa loves him. Surely if he thinks Taka tried to kill him, he'll show his true colors and HATE his brother...

Who knows, I think by this point Mufasa is starting to step back when it comes to Taka; I think he realises Taka isn't going to suddenly turn back into the sweet little cub he loved, so he in turn will start to respect his wish to be left alone...
But, if anything, I think being left alone will be Taka's ultimate do in. The mind wonders to some pretty dark places when there's no one around to vent or simply talk to
