Entry forDear god...this is the end result to drawing in college every day for a couple of hours...I'm not overly pleased with it since I'm quite shy about drawing in front of people...so yeah, it looks pretty stiff and eww and did I mention drawing Mufasa is annoying as hell.
I'm not sure if anyone noticed, but I more or less vanished from here the day or so after my b'day, well blame my crappy internet for that one xP only time I got on was at college...
Yes, Taka is crying in the last panel, from what I can gather from where the comic is heading, I think Taka is lashing out from sadness concerning his feelings for Fina being turned down...
Seems quite popular to have Muffy crying during this, but tbh, I don't see a character like Mufasa showing a weakness in his "I'm here for you" authority mode. Something like the crying in front of a depressed friend is only going to make things worse for them mentally...thing.
But Taka, a character who's being brainwashed into thinking no one loves him would most likely end up crying when in his heart the words he's been told are coming true...and perhaps this is a moment for his final tears...since I'm guessing the birth of Scar is approaching >>
But anyway enough rambles...

They're referenced. I don't draw them often enough to have confidence in their structures and lack of confidence in a character doesn't go well when your mind is always telling you perfection is a must =w=;
I'm not shy about referencing in public as long as I draw them myself =/ I don't trace if that is what you're trying to imply...as you can see from my gallery, I spent a long time learning the style...
However, should I ever do a comic surrounding these two, I will learn their structures and that way won't need to ref...but saying this, Mufasa in the top panel isn't reffed at all...and neither are Muffy or Taka in the middle or last panel...

lol I always see Taka as the open side of Scar...like Scar represents bitterness and hatred /since most people who have them, hate their facial scars with a passion/ and Taka represents Uru's sensitive little boy who acts tough but deep down takes every insult to heart ><

Though tbh, I get this idea of Taka and Scar from Tom Hiddlestons rendition of Loki 
Thor and Loki are so similar to Mufasa and Taka, it's quite scary in a way xDDD

I like your entry it came out great, I'm so envious. And I can see what you meant by Mufasa being difficult: he's all bulky and blocky and there aren't a lot of good references of him. He gave me hell when I drew him for my entry.
