my wall's crumbling
unveiling my true self

to share what I'm hiding
the truth behind the scars I hide
and memories that I fear
but the fear takes over
whispering parts of truths
and lies to come
unknowing what to do

as the fear takes over
I fall from my faith
I'm spinning 'round and 'round
turning over and over
in a spiral of emotions
I'm so lost and insecure
longing for someone to save the day
to pull me from this Carousel
as it spins faster and faster
leaving my true self behind
but just as all hope seems to fade
a single hand takes hold of mine
and pulls me from the ride I'm on
still not knowing whats to come
I take a step and make a stand
I tell of all the scars I hide
inflicted by their hands...and mine
I tell of all the tears I shed
and share with you the past I fear
as the tears now fill my eyes
I reach for you...
but you turn away
and leave behind a trail of fear
