Goodstuff. The guy's pose is pretty boring though (ie. line of action straight up and down).

No way... I can't believe this has received so little attention. This is wonderful, I absolutely love the softness of it, and the colours. Gorgeous work!

I saw... can't really imagine why. I may need to pimp your work in my journal, or at least try to, the next time I get around to updating it. You're welcome, in any case!

You're working in 3d animation? Impressive! I've been trying to understand 3d for years, but it's way too technical for my mind to handle.

A wonderful piece. I really love the way a lot of the piece is undefined, but selected parts in different areas have been further developed, alluding to what their surroundings should resemble, without overwhelming the viewer.
If there is one thing I would suggest, it would be to use more saturated colours on the right side. The pale colour scheme makes me think of a somewhat dreary atmosphere.
As for the concept, it's a magnificent take on a well established idea. Good luck in the competition.

Thank you for the kind and detailed feedback!
I see your point on more saturated colours because that was my original intention, but it started to look too much like a split screen, which I felt was a bit cliched and didn't really capture the mood I wanted. I also wanted the hell side to appear more dominant as a result of what was happening.
Anyway, the constructive advice is always welcome and I appreciate the comments. Thanks again!
