Hmmm...
My wife and I, we are in a organisation, which rescue hamster / gerbil from pharma- or cosmetic-facilities or from persons, who are not good for the little animals.
So to say, we also have experience with nearly all different kinds of hamster.
Hitomi here died some weeks ago in our hands in the age of 2 and a half years.

In this special situation as shown on the picture, she is wether surprised oder scared - she marks her territory. In this time, where the photo was shot, we have several hamster to run on the floor, and all of them mark the several toys and hidings with their smell.
Hitomis "special move": Lying on the back and mark the floor (as on the picture). You see the teeth, because: She lay on the back, its simply a snapshot of a moment of movement.

Ahh, okay i'm so sorry.
I was confused.

I am also very sorry for your loss.
I have 9 syrian currently.
I've nearly died crying everytime we have lost one prior.
So, yeah.

Either way your hamster was cute.
She's in the wild flowers playing with all the other hammies now.

Scared? Hmm, actually not.
She rubbed against all things in her way, when she was outside to show our other hamsters that she is the boss

She was our hamster, who "smell" the most
